The following tells you what equipment the tattoo machine needs to make needles.
Electric soldering iron: A good welding gun with a pistol-like handle is easy to handle and generates a lot of heat quickly.
Welding flux and solder: it must be a stainless steel welding agent and welding material, used to weld stainless steel needles and needle bars.
Tinning fluid: used to cover the tip of the soldering gun so that it will not burn out due to high heat. Stainless steel fogging, secant needle bar: used to accept the needle set.
Needle: Stainless steel loose needle.
Eye high magnification magnifying glass: high quality and high efficiency, need 15 or 20 times magnifying glass.
Needle clamp: a very time-saving device. At present, many tattoo equipment companies in the world sell them. This solder pin mold can also be self-made.
Small pliers: used to cut the tail of a needle that is too long. File: Small, used to file small places. Plastic adjuster: can be self-made.
These devices should not be placed in the tattoo shop, but in the storage room or at home. Find a quiet place where you can concentrate and do what you want to do. Once you start, it is very likely that you will be tattooing this week. On Sundays or free nights, prepare the needles you make for the next week's tattoo designs. You need to do a lot of needles, and you should do enough needles at a time.
Before you start, follow the needle recommendations in the previous chapter. You must also have a large number of needle bars (for fogging and thread cutting) on hand. Take a needle made by someone else and take a closer look. Study them to see how they are placed on the needle bar, how the needles are welded, which side is welded and all the small details such as the placement of the needles and the order of the needle groups, etc. Before you start, read this chapter carefully and try to implement these steps in your head.
The first step is to sit down and place the equipment in front of you in an orderly manner. The indoor lighting requirements are very bright, and work on a smooth, stable table.
The tattoo artist must be familiar with the knowledge of using welding equipment. This chapter is not to tell you how to weld, but you should read a book on this topic, and you should practice welding of stainless steel chips or needle bars to familiarize yourself with the process. When you can manipulate the tattoo machine proficiently and confidently, you can start needle making.
Begin to separate the old needle groups from their respective needle sticks. Do this work on a trash can to make the debris fall into the trash. Remove all remnants from the rod and set them aside. Arrange all the cleaned needle bars in a row, place the secant one on one side and the fogged one on the other side. The next preliminary step is to select the needle. The small package in front of you contains 1,000 stainless steel needles. They are not all intact. 20% or more of the defective needles used as tattoos cannot be used, and they can still be used as add-ons when making single needles. Take a shot from the pouch and place them on a smooth surface. Be extremely careful when making the needle shaft, which needs to be carried out under a high-powered magnifying glass. Check all the needles you took out of the bag, and under bright light, use a good eye magnifier and take the time to carefully select them, polish the bad needles with a file, and save them, because It can also be used when making tattoo needles for welding on single needle secant lines.
The method of making the needle that we discuss first is the three-needle secant needle. You need a needle clamp. These needle clamps should be small metal blocks with small handles. They have a small shelf at the end, and this end has a recessed metal tube welded to the handle at the right corner.
