Nowadays, the tattoo methods that we usually see are made by the tattoo artist with a tattoo machine. Tattoo methods such as hand needles are rare. Although some people still use it, but for those tattooists who still use primitive traditional methods, they must have strong skills and skills to support them if they want to manipulate these primitive methods as they want, which is a greater ability and challenge. Due to the different eras and regional differences, tattoo techniques have slowly evolved into different genres.

There are three common methods that are still used today

1. Samoan technique The Samoan technique popular in Italy was first created and promoted by Gianmaozio Filgioni of Milan and several other tattoo artists. They used a small hammer to hammer the bone or A hoe-like comb-shaped stinger made of shark teeth injects the ink applied to the tool into the skin. This is a more complicated technique. The tattoo artist needs to use both hands together, and one or more people are needed as assistants to tighten the skin of the tattooed person. The overall movements of the tattoo artist and assistant must be very coordinated.

2. Japanese-style technique synchronization Japanese-style tattoos use wooden sticks, which are a bit like chopsticks for eating. They are about 60 centimeters long. The back of the hand needle is held in wood, and the front end is a metal pin, dipped in it. The pigment pierces the skin.

3. American tattoo method The American tattoo method is the predecessor of the tattoo machine that we use most often now. It uses a small electric needle machine invented by the British. The principle is very similar, but it is automated. There are 1-7 needles on the top of the machine. Although people are generally prepared, they still feel pain. Part of this depends on the technical level of the tattoo artist, and a larger part also depends on the sensitivity of the tattooer and the experience of the tattoo artist.
