Stabbing method of deep skin layer:
Tattooers who use this method have a deep needling puncture, about 2mm or even as fast as 5mm. They will try to penetrate the pigment into the deep skin layer as much as possible. In this way, the color will be very thick. However, because the skin has to withstand deeper and larger damage, the epidermal layer will be damaged so severely that it will later form a "scab" of the wound. This scabbed skin will be metabolized and regenerated, and the pigment on this layer of skin will also be replaced. It will be dropped because of this. The thorn method requires the pigmentation of the bottom layer. That is to say, the recovered skin will consume some of the pigment deposited on the upper layer. Therefore, the thorn must be deep enough and the pigment must be heavy enough. If the depth is not enough or the amount of pigment penetration is not enough, then after the skin is scabbed, restored and re-skinned, you will find that all of them have lost their light, or the unevenness is uneven, so they must penetrate deep enough to penetrate the pigment. This kind of deep skin piercing method is usually used when color works or single black works require very dark and heavy colors. However, some tattoo artists also use this method when expressing light colors, but they dilute the paint to a very light color and use it in the same way. The advantage of this stabbing method is that the color is uniform, thick and has a good weight texture. The disadvantage is that the appearance of the color will be a bit murky due to the new skin without a layer of pigment precipitation.
Stabbing method of superficial skin layer:
The depth of this stabbing method is almost below 3mm. The characteristic is that only a thin layer of skin will be removed when the wound is healed. Because the surface layer of the skin is less damaged, the way of using a needle is a bit like the "pen pressure" feeling of sketching. It will focus on the touch of the needle and the skin to measure the appropriate depth. Most of the pigments are deposited in the shallow skin layer. This method must be very careful. If the skin damage is too serious and the scabs are in case, what pigments may be recovered after recovery No more. The advantage of this stabbing method is that the color is very superficial. After restoration, there is little difference from the time when it is just pierced. There is no sensation of deep skin stabbing. The disadvantage is that the color is not thick enough and the weight texture is poor. The skin-layer thorn method is usually applied to single-black works, because black itself has the advantage of the darkest color. It does not need to be too deep, and the rendering is already very good.
