Tattoos are made by inserting needles into the skin to bring in pigments, which are deposited in the epidermis to form various patterns. After the needles puncture the skin, wounds will inevitably be formed, so recovery after tattooing is an important issue.
I have some personal opinions in this regard:
After the tattoo is completed, disinfection of the wound is necessary to prevent infection and inflammation. In the process of wound healing, you need to apply oily ointments such as vaseline and anti-scar cream repair. Because each tattoo artist operates differently (personal hobby), there is a deep puncture on the deep skin layer and a light puncture on the shallow skin layer. The wounds formed by different methods will have slightly different recovery situations. Everyone has a set of experience. The ultimate goal is to ensure the effect of the restoration of the epidermal pattern. Normal tattoo wounds will peel in about four to seven days. While the skin is still recovering, do not deliberately peel it off. It should be allowed to fall off naturally. It is recommended to apply oily wound ointment such as vaseline or anti-scarring cream for one week, and then continue to apply skin lotion and other maintenance liquid. I think it is best The restoration of tattoo wounds is only after removing a thin layer of skin, and keeping the original skin layer as much as possible. The purpose of applying skin lotion is to moisturize the new skin and make it healthy and shiny, so if the tattoo is long, it will show The color still feels superficial and does not change much.
Sometimes the pattern behind the tattoo has a fading feeling, because when the pigment pigment particles are deposited in the skin, a kind of cells called phagocytosis in human body cells will digest and metabolize, it will swallow smaller particles and metabolize them. This is Normal absorption by the body, so it should be a little darker when it is patterned. It is estimated that it can restore normal pattern colors.
During the recovery process within one week after the tattoo, some people have sensitive skin and have a strange feeling of itching. The reason for this is because the skin wound is healing and the epidermis is dry. (Some are not completely disinfected when the tattoo is in place. , Caused by skin infection), at this time, you must not use your hands to buckle, it will scratch the epidermis, the color will be severe, and the color and integrity of the pattern will be affected. You can apply some anti-inflammatory repair ointments, such as scar prevention. For oily ointments such as ointments, wash them after 2 hours to avoid thick palate. If you can't stand itching, you can use your hands to pat the tattoo part.
After the skin is fully restored, you can see if there are any blank spaces in the pattern, and you can add color appropriately, so that the tattoo is completed.
