Washing tattoos is also called removing tattoos. It removes the original patterns on the body through certain technical means. With the rapid development of science and technology, there are already many tattoo washing methods, such as the removal of pigments by freezing, the method of removing heat by the needle, the high Frequency electronic watch needle washing tattoo, Chinese medicine washing tattoo, laser washing tattoo, etc., now commonly used laser washing tattoo method.

Tattoo cleaning principle

Human skin is divided into a superficial epidermal layer and a dermal layer below, where the epidermal layer can be renewed and shed faster, but the dermal layer will not. Pigments used in tattoos are generally implanted in the dermis, so they are permanent and cannot disappear on their own. Therefore, it is not a very easy task to remove tattoos. At present, the commonly used methods for removing tattoos are:

1. Laser therapy

The laser is applied to the affected area to crush the pigment particles into very tiny debris, which is discharged through the skin scab, or the blood circulation and cell phagocytosis to complete the pigment metabolism. This method does not damage the rest of the skin tissue and does not leave scars after surgery. It is currently the preferred method for treating tattoos, but the cost is slightly more expensive.

2. Chemical corrosion method

It is the use of a weaker weak acid solution to cause superficial burns to the skin, causing the pigment to come off with the necrotic tissue.

3. Skin grinding method

It uses a special high-speed rotating grinding wheel to remove the superficial layer of the skin to achieve the purpose of removing pigment.

4. Surgical resection

For deeper tattoo designs, the above method is often ineffective, and only surgical resection and suture can be considered, but there may be scars.

When using laser, chemical corrosion or grinding treatment, each treatment should not be too deep. If one removal is not clean, a second treatment can be carried out. The interval between each treatment should be 1-3 months. If the cleaned area is not too deep every time, generally no scars will be left.
